Aloo Sandwich (Grilled). Grilled Potato Sandwich

Aloo Sandwich (Grilled)

Bread Slices – 4
Boiled Potato – 1
Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Green chilly – 1 (finely chopped)
Mango powder- 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Ghee – 1 tsp
Sandwich spread – 4 tsp

Mix boiled potato, black pepper powder, mango powder, green chilly and salt in a bowl. Spread sandwich spread on all bread slices from one side. Now spread the potato mixer evenly on two bread slices. Put the other two slices of bread over the potato mixer with spread side facing down. Press lightly. Place the sandwich on the grill and grill them till the bread slices are golden brown in colour and have the grill marks. Potato sandwich are ready. Cut and serve hot.

Potatoes are very low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. It is also a good source of Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, Potassium and Manganese.

Dhokla in microwave

Dhokla in Microwave

Ingredients for Dhokla
For making dhokla
Besan - 1 cup
Sooji - 1/4 cup
Sugar - 2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Lemon jiuce - 1 tsp
ENO - 1 tsp
For making tadka
Oil - 1 tbsp
Green chilies – 2-4
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – 5-6
Green coriander – 1 tbsp
Fresh coconut – 1 tbsp (grated)

Making Dhokla:
Mix besan and sooji in a bowl and add little water at a time. The batter should not be too thick or thin. Add 1 tsp of sugar, salt and lemon juice. Keep the batter aside for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes add ENO and mix well. Pour the batter in a greased microwave safe bowl (7-8 inch in diameter). Put the bowl in microwave and set the temperature to maximum for about 3-4 minutes. Check the dhokla by inserting a knife in the batter, if it sticks, microwave for one more minute. Check again, if knife comes out clean. Your dhokla is ready.

Making Tadka:
Take oil in a tadka pan and place it on gas. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and fry for few minutes. Now add length wise cut green chillies. Add ½ cup water and 1 tsp of sugar. Boil for one minute. Tadka for dhokla is ready.
Place the dhokla on a plate and cut in into pieces. Pour the tadka on dhokla pieces evenly with help of a spoon. Garnish with green coriander and coconut. Your microwave dhokla is ready.
