Regular Short grained Rice – 1 cup
Moong Dal with skin – 1/3 cup
Water – 3 cup
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Wash rice and dal, soak them together in water for 30 minutes. Drain and keep aside. Combine rice, dal , water, ghee and salt in a pressure cooker and cook for 4 whistle. Put off the heat and allow the steam to escape before opening the lid. Open the lid and mix well. If required add little water to get the desired consistency and cook again for 3-4 minutes. Serve hot with ghee and cold with curd.
