Bread Upma

Bread slices -- 6

Chopped Onion – 1/2 cup
Chopped Tomatoes – 1/2 cup
Chopped Green Chillies – 2 (optional)
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves – 3-4
Oil – 2 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1/2 tsp
Tomato ketchup – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Chopped Coriander Leaves for garnishing

Break the bread slices into smaller pieces. Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds and let them crackle. Add onions and curry leaves. When onion becomes translucent, add tomatoes, green chillies and saute for two minutes. Add bread pieces, red chilli powder and salt. Sprinkle little water on top of the bread pieces and stir well. Cover it and cook for two minutes. Add lemon juice and tomato ketchup and toss well. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve immediately.
